Parent & Child
Parent-and-child classes facilitate the joint participation of adults (not necessarily parents) and children aged 6 months to two years. They focus on fundamental swimming and water safety skills through games, activities, and instruction. Adults also learn to hold and support techniques and basic water safety for young children.

Preschool
We also offer Preschool (ages 3-5) before Level One: This class is designed to introduce children to the aquatic environment and help them acquire rudimentary levels of basic aquatic and safety skills. The majority of the swim will be with assistance from an instructor. There are no prerequisites. Children will learn pool rules, blowing bubbles through mouth and nose, submerging face, front and back float, and other
American Red Cross swimming techniques. Ages: 3-5.

Level One
For beginners who are learning to be comfortable in the water, they should begin to learn basic swimming skills, all with support from the instructor. Swimmers learn the basics of swimming: bobbing, going underwater, supported front and back floating, supported rolling over from front to back and back to front, supported gliding, supported flutter kick supported front crawl arms, and jumping in.

Level Two
Designed for comfortable water beginners, this program covers fundamental swimming skills, including bobbing, submersion, supported floating, rolling, gliding, flutter kicking, front crawl arm movements, and jumping in.

Level Three
Designed for swimmers adept at unassisted front crawl and backstroke, this program emphasizes refining skills like gliding and incorporating side breathing into a front crawl. It also teaches backstroke, breaststroke, and dolphin kicks, retrieves objects in deeper water, treads water, and masters deep-water jumps and compact dives.

Level Four
Swimmers should already be able to swim unassisted front and back crawl for 25 yards. Swimmers will work on rotary breathing, front crawl, backstroke, elementary backstroke, scissor kick and sidestroke, whip kick, and breaststroke, intro to turning at the wall, treading water with modified scissors, and diving in the kneeling position.
